Step 4.

TIME TO PLAN FOR THE ARRIVAL OF YOUR NEW PUP!

Step 3.

pay DEPOSIT & sign contract to reserve your pup

If you have considered adoption and are ready to bring home a furry friend, please start by filling out our adoption application here. You can also view our available dogs to see if any pup catches your interest. We do our best to match dogs with their appropriate applicants, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee any requests as things can move quickly.

Once you have submitted your application, you will hear from one of our team members who will follow-up with questions and require a non-refundable deposit of $50 USD or $75 CAD to reserve your pup!

The next step is to coordinate picking up your new furry family member…

Adoptions in America or Canada

For those already in Mexico - a lot of dogs are small enough to fit on your flight, so we would recommend to book a flight home with your new dog. Normally the costs for this can range from $50-$200 depending on your airline. Please check which airline you are flying with first, as some do not allow dogs. You are responsible for booking and covering the cost of the flight, finding an appropriate travel carrier and any leash or collar to take them on and off the plane (unless we have donations in stock).

If you are driving across the border, you may be required to provide the border agent with a health certificate. We will provide you with your pups vaccination records, however it would be best to get the health certificate from a vet closer to the border. We recommend to get this a day or two before crossing.

If you are not in Mexico - it is still possible to adopt a dog, however we do not have a big enough team at the moment to organise consistent flights or drives out of Baja Sur. We will do our best to find flight or driving buddies to the best of our ability, but we would need your help to find an escort for your pup. Please contact your adoption coordinator to see if we have anyone available to transport your pup, otherwise we require you to arrange a way to come to pick up your dog.

*if you are an organisation in Canada or USA that would be interested in working with us on logistics and helping us bring a dog up to their furever home, please contact us here.

Adoption Fee:

$250USD or 4,000 pesos which helps to pay us back for food and medical bills we have paid. We have a discounted adoption fee for Mexican citizens, please contact us if this applies to you.
